With over 30 years experience, Chris started his career in 1986 with a Structural steelwork contractor before entering private consultancy in 1994.
He joined Walker Associates in 2000 as a Senior Engineer and was promoted to Associate in 2003. Chris enjoyed a 3 year sabbatical from 2012 for a career opportunity as a professional musician, returning to the practice in 2015.
In his role as an Associate, Chris was involved in projects from concept stage through to completion, managing in-house design and draughting teams and liaising with the client and project design teams.
Chris has a HNC in Civil Engineering and is currently working towards Associate Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
In March 2021 Chris became the new Structural Engineering Director, where he will now assume overall responsibility for his team on a wide range of projects in all forms of construction.
