Chris started his career in structural engineering in 1983 and has worked solely in private consultancy ever since.
He joined Walker Associates as an Assistant Engineer in 1988 and became an Associate in 1998 and a Director in 2003 when the company became incorporated.
Chris has been the engineer in charge of numerous projects for a variety of clients. These have covered all sectors of construction including residential, commercial, industrial, education and healthcare, in all building materials. Projects have included complex refurbishments of ex-government buildings in Central London into luxury apartments including façade retention, inserting additional floors and basement car parks through to multi-storey new building residential blocks.
In his role as Director, Chris assumes overall responsibility for his team on a wide range of projects, from large to small, in all forms of construction, from concept to the final details. Chris is responsible for the IT in use in the practice ensuring the smooth running and implantation of the latest technology.
Chris is an Incorporated Structural Engineer, has an HNC in Civil Engineering and is an Associate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
